One container for the whole Mississippi lease: four shelf bays, two locks, the split drawn before it comes
Split a 40ft high cube into four numbered 8 ft shelf bays, one per member, with a pallet under each for corn and feed and a shared hook wall by the doors. Put two padlocks on the door bars, and agree on the split from a drawing before the box comes, not after.
Split four ways
One box, one delivery, one price divided by the membership. Each member gets an 8 ft bay of four shelves with a number painted above it and a pallet on the floor for corn and feed. The hook wall by the doors is shared.
The plan set draws the split, so the club agrees before the box comes. For six members, use three levels per bay and six 5 ft bays, or add a second box. The brackets hang anywhere on the corrugation.
Two locks
Put two padlocks on the door bars, with four keys for each. Hang both so the bars cannot drop unless two members are there, or one if the club prefers any-member access. Either way, nobody drives to town for a key.
A lock box shields the padlocks from bolt cutters, and that matters on a lease nobody checks for weeks. See jobsite container security.
The road in, and who owns it
A tilt-bed carrying a 40ft needs about 100 feet of straight run, 14 feet overhead and firm ground at the drop. Tell us about sandy two-tracks or gated timber roads before you order; a truck that cannot get in is a billable trip.
The club owns the box, and it goes with you when the lease changes. Put it in the bylaws the way you would a tractor. For a single family's camp, see the hunting camp gear room.
The layout, drawn to the box
This is sheet 2 of the free Lease Gear Room plan set: the 40ft high cube container drawn from real ISO dimensions, with every shelf, rack and opening placed. Four numbered 8 ft shelf bays, a pallet per member under each, a shared hook wall, two padlocks on the bars. The split, drawn, before the box comes.
