Where a Biloxi delivery comes from

Biloxi is priced off two supplier depots: Mobile, AL (about 65 road miles, I-10 west into Jackson and Harrison counties) and New Orleans, LA (about 90 miles). The order goes against whichever has your grade in stock; the delivered price is the same either way. Published lead time is 3–7 business days from the day we confirm the order with you.

Placement and permits in Biloxi

Biloxi's Community Development Department (676 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd; Building 228-435-6270, Planning 228-435-6266) issues building permits and administers the Land Development Ordinance. Whether a storage container needs a permit in Biloxi depends on how it is placed (ground-set versus on a slab or piers, anchored or not) and on the zoning district, and much of the city's waterfront is mapped flood zone. Call Planning with the parcel address before ordering; they will tell you whether the lot's district and flood zone allow a container at all and what, if anything, has to be filed.

Will the truck make it in? Biloxi lots

The peninsula east of I-110 is tight: short lots, the casino-district one-ways, and drives that enter at an angle off Howard Avenue. A 20ft is usually workable; a 40ft often is not without a straight 100 ft from the street. Woolmarket, Cedar Lake and the Popp's Ferry side north of the Back Bay are where 40ft drops on residential lots normally succeed.

The non-negotiables are the same everywhere: a straight run of about 60 ft for a 20ft and 100 ft for a 40ft, 14 ft of clear overhead the whole way, and level, firm ground where the box lands. A truck that cannot complete the drop is a billable trip.

Biloxi questions

What does a container delivered to Biloxi cost?
The figures above are delivered to ZIP 39530 and include the truck. 39531, 39532 and 39534 are priced identically because the feed prices the whole 395 prefix off the same two depots.
Does a storage container need a permit in Biloxi?
It depends on placement and district. Biloxi administers its own Land Development Ordinance and flood-damage-prevention rules; the only reliable answer is the one Planning (228-435-6266) gives for your parcel. Ask before you order, not after the truck is booked.
Will a container ride out a hurricane?
An empty container is a sail; a loaded one on firm ground is a very heavy box. On the coast, anchoring is the question to ask the building department, and a container is not a substitute for the flood elevation your lot may require.
