Privacy Policy

The short version

Longleaf Containers is not currently renting out or delivering containers. If you fill in the form on this site, we may share or sell your contact details to local container providers who can service your request, and they may contact you directly. If you are not comfortable with that, please do not submit the form — read the guides instead, they are free and require nothing from you.

What we collect

What you type into the form on this site: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, your ZIP code, the container size and rough duration you are interested in, the location where you would want a container, and any notes you add. We also receive standard web analytics — pages viewed, approximate region, device type — and, if you arrive from an advertisement, the ad platform may record that visit.

What we do with it, including sharing and selling

We collect your details in order to put you in touch with someone who can actually help you, because we cannot. We may share your contact details and the information you submitted with local container providers, dealers, yards, brokers and other third parties who can service your request, and we may be paid for doing so — including selling your details outright. Once we have passed your information on, that business holds its own copy of it and handles it under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. More than one provider may receive your details, and any of them may contact you by phone, text or email.

We do not sell or share your payment information, because we never collect any. We take no payment on this site.

What we will not do

We will not quote you a price, take an order, or schedule a delivery, because we are not in a position to honour any of those. We will not publish your details, and we will not use them to pretend a rental has been arranged.

Text messages and calls

If you give us a phone number, we or a provider we pass your details to may call or text you about your enquiry. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of that sender. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out with one provider does not automatically opt you out with another.

Analytics

We use standard web analytics and advertising pixels to understand which pages people find useful and how they arrive. These set cookies and may be used to show you advertising elsewhere.

Getting your data removed

Ask us and we will delete the details we hold. Tell us as soon as you can: we cannot retrieve or delete information already passed to another business, so the sooner you ask, the more we can do. If your details have already gone out, we will tell you who received them so you can ask them directly.
