Renting vs buying a storage container in Wiggins, MS

Wiggins gets served from two directions
Wiggins is 39577, about halfway between Hattiesburg and Gulfport on Highway 49. Containers come up from the Coast or down from Hattiesburg, and for a rental that round trip is charged twice — delivery and collection — on top of the monthly rent. That makes the rent-or-buy arithmetic lean harder toward buying out here than it does in town. A couple of months of overflow is still a rental; a storage building at a place off Highway 26, a feed room, a camp box in the De Soto National Forest country, a shop behind the house — buy it. What a Stone County lot has to give the truck
A straight, firm run of about 110 feet for a 20ft or 130 feet for a 40ft, 15 feet of clear sky, and ground that holds a loaded tilt-bed. Most of the county has room; the catch out here is the ground. Sandy soil drains, but a long dirt drive after a wet week will bog a truck, and a failed delivery is billable. Gravel the approach or wait for a dry stretch. See delivery access.
Settle the rules before a permanent placement. The City of Wiggins and Stone County each take their own view on a container used as a permanent storage building on a residential lot, and the answer differs between inside and outside the limits.
